Every business prefers to be associated with highly reputable organizations that bring them greater visibility, enhanced credibility, or help demonstrate their commitment to serving as a corporate citizen. Corporate Partners of the Springfield Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) are aware of not only the breadth and depth of our members and their businesses, but also the fact that as women change the face and nature of business in the 21st century, there is a need to respond to the call for support.

The Springfield Chapter of NAWBO boasts a network of dynamic, entrepreneurial women interested in not only personal and business success, but also the success of our communities. NAWBO Springfield is growing quickly, having increased our membership over three fold in the last several years. Our woman owned businesses are diverse, from trucking to tile, floral art to financials, consulting to computers, and from painting to parties. Revenues range from around $20K to $2M.

Fifty-three percent of the population of Springfield is women. Nationally, that number is 51%, with 66 million working women. It is estimated that one in every eleven adult women owns a business and generates nearly $2.3 trillion in revenue for the national economy (Suzanne M. Thinnes).

Today, women are changing the face and nature of business. We influence public policy, organize diverse and competitive workforces, manage distinct purchasing power, rally for the rising need for education and skills, and raise money for the fights against heightened health risks. We also raise children in an increasingly complex society.

It boils down to this - we not only make a contribution, we choose to make a difference. Whether it is due to a talent shortage or the collective courage of women, industry is now talent driven, and much less gender or race driven. We break down barriers and affect positive change. What matters is if the person has the skills and leadership ability to get the job done. The women of the Springfield Chapter of NAWBO have proven that we, in fact, lead by example and through entrepreneurship.

To our corporate partners, we provide the opportunity to cultivate a relationship with the fastest growing segment of the business community-women business owners. By partnering with NAWBO, businesses are able to build their brand among the woman business owner community, a fiercely loyal consumer group, and grow its bottom line through opportunities to sell and affiliate with our local and national network of women business owners.

Your Partnership with NAWBO for activities and endeavors assists us to expand our member benefits, our economic reach in the community, as well as our role in contributing to the residents and philanthropic organizations of it.
